Presentation at the International Forum.
My topic is difficult teenagers. The problems we usually have with teenagers are not local or Russian problems, but are common problems, global problems. There are a lot of problems in our country. Teenagers have problems with teachers, police, smoking, using alcohol, drugs, etc.
The specific nature of these problems in Russia is the high level of unemployment, low level of salaries, fatigue, weariness from endless changes and crisis. Every school is connected with a special police officer. Sometimes these teenagers are sent to special schools to correct their behavior, but it isn't very effective because the roots of their behavior are grounded in deep social problems. Many of these teenagers just need attention from adults. As a rule these teenagers have negligent parents or parents struggling with poverty. Alcoholism and violence is common in these families.
Civics education at solving such problems as teaching responsibility for oneself, for one's country, for the whole Earth. If person becomes responsible for himself he gradually refuses drugs, alcohol and begins to help himself and other people.
I live in a small town of Sosnovy Bor (it means "Pine's forest"), not far from St-Petersburg. In our psychological center we teach teenagers to be responsible and to be aware all that they do.
In last summer we had psychological and ecological program for difficult teenagers. Every day they have psychological training for recognizing and realizing themselves. Every weekend we were hiking to lake and fishing. We sang songs and played the guitar. We had a lot of competitions with prizes, for example: poetry competition, making bouquets of flowers competition. And at last we picked up about 70 thousands pounds of garbage.
When we finished our program, some teenagers exclaimed: "We would like to continue. It is great to do something useful for our town and to know something interesting about ourselves".
Unfortunately, it's not easy to get money for such programs. If we get the money we can engage more teenagers in useful activity.
We have to educate responsible citizens. We did it before, and I hope, will be able to do it again,

Александр порождает именно такие вопросы. Творчество настоящего момента. Мы удивляемся, узнав, что можно не только узнать Жизнь и следовать за ней, но и творить ее и самому направлять ее. Он это делает. И не только это. |
